Head of Business Studies job summary

Do you want to lead an Outstanding Business Studies department, with opportunities to receive outstanding training and professional development?

If so, we are looking to appoint a successful, dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Department to lead our highly successful Business Studies team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your teaching and leadership skills, working within an inspirational team that currently delivers GCSE Business Studies, as well as A Level Business Studies and the Level 3 BTEC Diploma. Business Studies is a hugely popular subject area with 100+ students in both year 10 and year 11 studying the GCSE course.

The Compton School wishes to attract a high-quality applicant who can lead the department through the next phase of growth, to include the introduction of the new AAQ's into KS5 from September 2025.

Therefore, a £3000 recruitment incentive payment will be available for a successful candidate applying directly to The Compton School. This is payable after a qualifying period of two full terms in post and includes a 2-year retention period. Please see our attached information sheet for more details.
