John Flamsteed Community School is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school located in Denby, Derbyshire within easy reach of Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and the Peak District. We are a founding member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with other academies within the Trust to ensure opportunities for continuing professional development. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious classroom practitioner to join this highly successful department. We are looking for evidence of high quality classroom practice leading to excellent results. We expect a proven track record of delivering ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ lessons alongside exceptional organisation and interpersonal skills. The successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge, understanding and experience of successful strategies for improving motivation in learning across the curriculum. We require a highly skilled teacher who can provide inspirational teaching at KS3 and KS4 and across a range of different abilities.
