Head of Computing job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, well qualified and inspiring teacher of Computing who is ready to lead a small but high performing department. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented practitioner looking to take the next step into subject leadership, or for an experienced Subject Leader wishing to work in a school with motivated students, supportive colleagues and exceptional behaviour for learning.

The successful applicant will oversee the department and teach the majority of classes, As Subject Leader, the postholder will be responsible for curriculum planning, assessment, tracking of student progress, enrichment, and the strategic development of the subject. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to our extensive extracurricular offer, whether through clubs, competitions, workshops or enrichment events, and will also serve as a tutor within our vertical tutoring system. You’ll be supported by a forward-thinking leadership team and benefit from professional development through the Three Rivers Alliance partnership, which enhances collaboration and CPD across local schools.
