We are looking for an experienced Creative Arts practitioner to lead our Creative Arts Department from January 2025.
About the role:
We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Creative Arts who can demonstrate an infectious passion for teaching and expert subject knowledge with the expertise to effectively manage and motivate a team.
We would be particularly interested to receive applications from Food Preparation and Nutrition teachers.
You should have a strong background in leading a team to develop pupils’ ability in the Creative Arts, across a range of subjects. At Nottingham Girls' Academy we currently deliver; Art & Design, Food Preparation & Nutrition, Graphics, Resistant Materials and Textiles as part of our curriculum.
You will be an exceptional and passionate practitioner who is keen to facilitate the progress of all pupils.

- contribute to the further development of a strong and forward-looking team
- be innovative in their techniques to motivate and inspire young people

The Academy is part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) which has a proven track record in school improvement. The Trust provides centralised services and support to enable staff to focus on teaching. Being part of the Trust means that we are able to share specialist best practice and work collaboratively with colleagues in other academies.
