What skills and experience we're looking for
Hetton Academy are seeking a Head of Department for Art & Technology. Applications are welcome from enthusiastic, successful candidates with a passion of improving outcomes and leading a team. Due to the needs of the department, this role requires a specialist in either DT, Engineering or Food Technology.
The Academy has undergone rapid and continuous improvement since joing NET in 2022 and we have celebrated KS4 results that are well above the national average as well as being amongst the top performing schools in the North East. If you are a passionate teacher who can engage students in their learning and have leadership skills to help develop a strong and experienced team, we want to hear from you. Visits to the Academy are welcomed so that you can meet our amazing students and our inspirational teachers.
