We are not just teaching Computing - we are building the future workforce of Greater Manchester. We are seeking a bold, forward-thinking Head of Department to spearhead our strategy, deepen our high-profile industry partnerships, and ignite a passion for computing in our students.

The Opportunity: Beyond the Classroom

This isn't just a leadership role; it’s a platform for impact. As a key player in the Greater Manchester "MBacc" initiative (led by Mayor Andy Burnham), we are at the forefront of the technical education revolution.

By joining us, you will:

  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Be the face of Newhouse Academy, strengthening our collaboration with regional industry leaders.

We have lead practitioners and Assistant Headteachers whose specialisms in computing can be used to support your development. We work together sharing best practices, elevating the standard of teaching.

  • An Inspiring Leader: You have the ability to build, nurture, and grow high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration.

  • A Strategic Thinker: Identify opportunities through the use of data and other performance metrics.

  • A Champion for Inclusivity: You are committed to student wellbeing and ensuring that every learner - regardless of background - has the support they need to succeed.

  • An ambitious Leader: drive performance, and ensure every student has an ambitious progression route.

  • Values-Driven: You embody our core pillars: Aspiration, Integrity, and Respect.
