Head of Digital Media and Computing job summary
This is a truly exciting time to become part of our journey. The Cottesloe School is a rapidly growing, oversubscribed 11-19 secondary school, fresh from a £3 million expansion and the launch of our state-of-the-art million pound 3G pitch in September 2025!
We're looking for someone who:
- Puts children and young people at the heart of all actions.
- Is a passionate subject expert in Digital Media and Computing, able to inspire and enthuse students with varying needs.
- Is a dedicated practitioner committed to school improvement and raising standards for all students.
- Is a confident and dynamic leader who contributes enthusiastically to the school's culture, demonstrating and expecting the highest standards.
- Is a personable and passionate communicator with high expectations.
- Is committed to continuous professional development, adapting to change and embracing new ideas to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.
- Has a strong understanding of relevant curriculum areas, including assessment and monitoring procedures.
- Has in-depth knowledge of programming languages (eg. Python) and expertise in delivering or leading the specified Digital Media and Computing courses: GCSE Computer Science (AQA), Creative iMedia (Cambridge Nationals), Digital Media AQA (from Sept 2026).
