Head of Economics and Business job summary

The retirement of our current postholder has created the opportunity for a suitably talented, energetic and passionate leader to apply for the role of Head of Economics and Business with a January 2026 start.

​Economics and Business Studies are delivered in timetabled lessons, 75 minutes in length. Students at the school are inquisitive and highly motivated. Many of them choose Economics or Business related career routes once the leave the school. ​

Responsibilities for all Heads of Department at the School ​

  • Completing relevant quality assurance across the team including engaging with student voice ​

  • Line Management of colleagues and contributing to the performance management process ​

  • Deliver high quality teaching ​

  • Complete duty activities that support the smooth running of the school​

  • Organising appropriate fieldtrips, assemblies and enrichment activities
