Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre (the ‘NCS’) is a dedicated sixth form centre that opened in September 2014 in iconic Grade 2 listed buildings on the East Ham Town Hall Civic Complex. The NCS is an academic Sixth Form, located in the second most deprived borough in London with the aim of preparing students to secure places with some of the most competitive universities in the UK and abroad. NCS is recognised as one of the leading 16-19 Free Schools in the country, with A-Level results comparable with some of the most high profile Grammar and Independent schools. Students routinely secure 96% A*/B and 100% A*/C, an average A-level grade of an A- and a progress score that is well above the national average.

The NCS provides a stimulating education and personalised curriculum within a supportive environment in which students are en¬couraged to stretch themselves academically to achieve their potential. The NCS offers an academic A-Level Curriculum with a specialism in Sci¬ence and Maths, alongside strong pathways in Hu¬manities. The A-Level Curriculum and the extra-curricular programme are focused on preparing students for progression to highly competitive universities in the UK and abroad.

In October 2021, Ofsted judged the NCS to be ‘Outstanding’ in every category and said:

“Learners at Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre benefit from studying in an environment dedicated to academic excellence.”

“In lessons, and around the sixth form, learner behaviour is impeccable.”

“Learners benefit from being taught by teachers who are subject experts.”
