Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English department, driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
- Develop and implement an ambitious and engaging English curriculum
- Monitor student progress and ensure outstanding outcomes for all learners
- Inspire and support colleagues through effective leadership and collaboration
- Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
- Have a proven track record of raising attainment in English
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Be passionate about inspiring young people and raising aspirations
- Have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Be committed to inclusive education and student wellbeing
