To support this vision, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Estates to provide strategic leadership across our estate, facilities, compliance, capital projects and sustainability agenda.

Wandle Learning Trust is a growing Multi Academy Trust with schools in South London and East Sussex, currently comprising of two secondary schools and eight primary schools. The Trust also runs the Wandle Learning Partnership, which oversees our English, Maths and Teaching DfE Hubs, as well as our sector leading phonics programme, Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised.

Our head office is based in Battersea and moving to Balham in the autumn term, howerver as a Trust-wide role, you will be expected to travel regularly between our schools across South London and East Sussex as required.

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to influence the future of our schools by developing and delivering a Trust-wide Estates and Sustainability Strategy, leading major capital programmes, ensuring statutory compliance, driving value through procurement and contract management, and delivering meaningful decarbonisation initiatives.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has substantial experience leading estates services across a large, multi-site organisation.
  • Can develop and implement long-term estates, maintenance and asset management strategies.
  • Has strong knowledge of health and safety, statutory compliance and facilities management.
  • Demonstrates excellent project management, financial planning and contract management skills.
  • Is an inspirational leader who can build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
