The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance Business Partnering to lead our Finance Business Partnering team and provide strategic financial support across our schools. This is a key leadership role, working closely with school leaders and the Finance Director to ensure robust financial management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership and operational support across CLT schools.
  • Lead and manage the Finance Business Partnering team.
  • Support schools with budget setting, monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust-wide financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversee onboarding of new schools and ensure consistent financial processes.
  • Support month-end procedures, statutory returns, and year-end audits.
  • Lead systems projects (e.g., Iplicit, BPS, Edupay) and provide training and technical support.
  • Promote best practice and continuous improvement in financial operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in financial leadership, preferably within education or the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and systems administration.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to financial management.
