Head of Geography job summary
From September 2020 - TLR 1.1 £8,069 p.a.
Geography is a thriving, successful and popular at Myton, with a large number of students choosing to study it at both A Level and GCSE. We are looking for a visionary leader to take the steps needed to bring the department forward at all key stages.
Your appointment as Head of Geography will be to lead the team of seven specialist Geography teachers. This team includes members of the leadership team and pastoral teams who are committed, passionate teachers and who provide an excellent Geography education to our students.
As Head of Department, you will demonstrate a passion for Geography and have a deep understanding of the learning process and the current developments in education and examination requirements. You will also need experience in leading field work trips and teaching the subject at A-level.
