What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic, and inspiring Head of History to lead this important area of our curriculum from September.

The department is a significant part of our academic offer, encompassing GCSE History, A Level History, and A Level Politics. Both History and Politics are popular choices within our Sixth Form. The successful candidate will be a passionate subject specialist, capable of teaching History to our able, creative, and highly motivated students.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to join our outstanding school and lead a flourishing department.

  • a passion for teaching History and Politics

  • commitment to promoting high quality teaching and learning within this department

  • ability to promote History and Politics across the curriculum

  • experience of teaching History to A level standard.
