What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Head of History to plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons that instill a passion for learning. You will lead a team of staff including teachers of geography, history and religious education. You will be expected to teach a high percentage of hisroty across the school.

You will:

  • Be committed to raising the attainment of all students in a challenging classroom environment.
  • Have experience of improving the quality of teaching and learning
  • Be experienced in leading a team and/or working to support the success of others
  • Demonstrate effective behaviour management
  • Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of students
  • Be committed to Academy’s ethos of high expectations
