Head of House
Contract: Permanent - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks
Salary: H7 payscale (£29,777-£32,076)
Start: September 2024
Responsible To: Assistant Headteacher
About the role: We are seeking to appoint a committed, resilient and enthusiastic person to the role of Head of House and become an integral part of our hard working, energetic and strong Pastoral Team. You will have a genuine passion for supporting young people with the ability to form strong working relationships with both students and adults.
Main areas of responsibility:
Pastoral care for your House, developing relationships to work with the students, parents and staff in supporting their education and wellbeing (incl behaviour, attendance and social development) and keeping accurate records and appropriate records of communications.
Putting pastoral interventions in place, both internally and working with external organisations to further support the development of our young people.
Leading high quality assemblies for your house and leading a team of tutors, alongside attending key school functions
Coordinating all house activities with your team of student house captains and creating a strong team ethos within your house
Leading interventions with children
