We are seeking an outstanding Head of Humanities (Geography Specialism) who will bring vision, energy, and expertise to lead the department. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction of Humanities within a supportive, high-performing school that values collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence.

About the Role

As Head of Humanities, you will:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing Humanities department (including Geography, History, and related subjects)

  • Champion excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and student outcomes

  • Inspire and support staff through strong leadership and professional development

  • Develop an engaging and ambitious Geography curriculum that fosters curiosity about the world

  • Monitor progress and implement strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential

  • Has proven leadership experience or is ready to step into a leadership role

  • Demonstrates a track record of strong student outcomes
