We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for a Head of IT, and Academy Digital Strategy Lead to join our team at Plympton Academy from September 2024.
You will join a committed team of Teachers at the Academy and will be instrumental in providing an outstanding education. As a Head of department, you will implement an engaging and effective curriculum that enthuses and engages students of all abilities and ages, while maintaining high expectations to ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leaders to shape our digital strategy and with an up-to-date knowledge of ICT trends, you will guide us towards innovative solutions. There are always opportunities to work further across the South West Hub and the wider trust on the developments and impact you can demonstrate
As an inspiring leader, you will lead by example, develop and motivate your team and remain committed to achieving high standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher who is now looking for promotion to Head of Department in a supportive and successful Academy or for an established Head of Computer Science who is ready for a new challenge.

- Be a qualified Teacher of Computer Science and able to deliver up to Key Stage 5
- Thorough knowledge of present curriculum developments, particularly those relating to your subject
- Collaborate with other leaders and managers in raising standards within the curriculum
- Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
- Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum
- Maintain high expectations for both yourself and the students to ensure that every student achieves their very best
- An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools
