Are you a passionate and strategic leader with a deep understanding of Mathematics? Can you inspire and develop a team of teachers to deliver outstanding KS3 lessons and drive exceptional outcomes for pupils? If so, we invite you to join Rainhill High School, including Rainhill Sixth, as our Head of KS3 Mathematics.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious, and inspirational leader for Mathematics who has a vision for excellence and the skills to lead a high-performing department. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of improving teaching and learning, raising student achievement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the faculty.
As Head of KS3 Mathematics, you will:
- Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the KS3 Mathematics team.
- Lead the development of a high-quality curriculum that ensures excellent student progress from KS2 to KS3 and prepare them for the demands of KS4.
- Inspire and support staff to deliver engaging, challenging, and innovative lessons.
- Use data effectively to drive improvement and ensure outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
- Champion a culture of continuous professional development within the faculty.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Faculty: Mathematics to improve standards.
This is a full-time, permanent leadership position, and we welcome applications from existing experienced leaders or successful and ambitious teachers looking for their next challenge.
You will need excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a commitment to raising standards, and the ability to foster a love of learning in Mathematics across the school. Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England.
The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017.
More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson MAT and was graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in February 2023. The Academy is working hard to make a difference to staff workloads by investing time, technology, and support to make Rainhill High School and Rainhill Sixth an attractive place to work.
Our vision is one of excellence for everyone, pupils and staff. We believe that by working together we can make a positive difference to children’s lives.
Stephenson Trust is currently a single school in a multi academy trust. We have several external partners, including Hope University, Ambition Institute, The Fowler Education Faculty, SSAT, Rainbow teaching school hub and the educational endowment fund. We are now seeking to expand in the next couple of years with those who share our desire to provide an excellent education
