Head of Literacy - Easter 2020 or September 2020 start job summary

Secure knowledge and understanding of the knowledge, concepts and skills in teaching literacy. Knowledge of literacy assessment. Be able to draw on a variety of behaviour management techniques. Walsall Academy are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to the role of Head of Literacy. Application are welcome from well-qualified ambitious teachers with leadership skills as well as those running a department.

Walsall Academy in Bloxwich, Walsall opened in September 2003. The student enrolment is 1390 with 1060 in the lower school and a further 330 students in the Sixth Form.
