We are looking for a dynamic maths leader to shape ambitious learning at Montpelier High School, raising achievement through strategic curriculum design, exceptional pedagogy, and a commitment to student success.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the development and management of teaching within your area.
- Identify areas for development and improvement linked to the academy improvement plan, SEF, national and local initiatives.
- Design, implement, and continually refine a high‑quality Maths curriculum that is ambitious, well‑sequenced, and accessible for all learners.
- Support, coach and develop staff, providing effective CPD, mentoring and performance management to build a strong, collaborative team.
- Model outstanding teaching practice, ensuring lessons are engaging, challenging and aligned with the school's pedagogical expectations.
Pay range:
- M1 - UPS3 plus TLR2B of £6068.00
- £38,984.00 - £57,116.00
- Full time, permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- QTS or recognised equivalent
- Degree in subject specialism or related subject
- Ability to develop a number of curriculum areas
- Ability to develop and lead on assessment
- Ability to support staff and students in maintaining high standards
