What skills and experience we're looking for

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage the mathematics provision at LUSoM including all aspects of planning and resourcing in order to deliver high quality lessons which achieve excellent student outcomes.
  • To teach in a manner that inspires students, taking them beyond the A-level syllabus, and effectively promotes further study in the subject.
  • To set, mark and record work in accordance with the Maths School assessment policy.
  • To monitor student progress and plan and implement intervention strategies for students who are not making sufficient progress in the subject.
  • To assist and contribute to the school’s Quality Assurance Cycle, analysing internal assessment results, reflecting carefully and critically on learning and teaching strategies in light of these, and making changes where appropriate with the support of the Head of School.

Hours: Full or part time – minimum of 0.8fte

Salary: Paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Salary Structure pro rata to £32,178 to £49,725 per annum (dependent upon experience). Plus a responsibility allowance pro rata to £5,446 to £8,854 per annum.
