We seek to appoint an experienced, ambitious and talented Head of Maths Faculty with a relentless focus on securing high-quality teaching, learning, and student achievement across the department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and inspirational leader to join a successful and supportive school community. The successful candidate will be committed to raising attainment, developing an ambitious Maths curriculum, and leading engaging teaching that inspires a love of mathematics across all key stages.

We particularly welcome applications from experienced middle or senior leaders with strong subject knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving improvement and impact within a Maths department.

Main responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage the Maths Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
  • To ensure that students achieve strong outcomes, regardless of their starting point
  • To teach Maths across KS3 and KS4
  • To lead the development of the Maths curriculum and raise standards across the faculty
  • To monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing effective intervention strategies where required
  • To support, develop, and inspire colleagues through coaching, collaboration, and professional development
  • To contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and wider leadership initiatives
  • To promote a positive, inclusive, and ambitious culture within the department and across the school
