What skills and experience we're looking for

Hold a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevantsubject teaching qualification (QTS).

Commitment to own self development.

Qualified Teacher Status.

Willingness to undertake further CPD.

Ability to teach your subject area up to Key Stage 4

Desire to further raise overall achievement in your subject that seeks to promote thehighest standards of teaching and learning

A flexible approach to the teaching of your subject that seeks to promote thelearning opportunities of all students and to secure the highest possible outcomes

Good discipline / classroom management.

What the school offers its staff

We are looking for a Head of Maths to lead our dedicated Maths department. The role would suit either anexisting head of faculty or those who are looking to develop from a Second in Maths/ Lead practitioner or Headof Subject.

As the Head of Maths you will lead a diverse team of seven, from those that are very experienced to othersthat are embarking on their first Teach First training. Together the team is passionate about giving our studentsthe best chances in life. and all actively engage in Improving themselves as teachers through weekly PDsessions, subject knowledge enhancements, online courses, and exam conferences.
