Head of Maths job summary

We are seeking an exceptional and motivated leader to head our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of teachers, providing strategic direction and ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and achievement across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a coherent and ambitious Mathematics curriculum that promotes deep understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical confidence in all learners.

Through effective leadership, rigorous monitoring, and high expectations, you will drive continual improvement and secure outstanding outcomes for students. As Head of Department, you will model exemplary teaching practice, foster professional development within your team, and contribute to whole-school initiatives that support the school’s vision and values.
