What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate for this position will receive an Outwood Welcome Bonus of £5,000 in addition to the annual salary. This will be paid in the first month's salary.

The MFL Department offers French and German therefore successful applicants are required to be able to teach French and German ideally both to GCSE. The TLR for this post is nominally TLR 2a (£3,017) but is negotiable for an exceptional candidate.We are looking for individuals who love their subject, have a passion to develop this in others, and are committed to putting Students First..

We are seeking a Head of MFL with the drive and vision to deliver excellence in languages lessons for all year groups. You should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’. You will ensure effective teaching and learning is in place in MFL to ensure outstanding outcomes for students and increased numbers studying MFL at GCSE.

A Recruitment and Retention Allowance will be available for exceptional candidates.

In MFL there is a dedicated team of Directors who invest in staff with support, coaching, mentoring, and a wide range of top-quality subject specific training programmes to ensure that quality teaching and learning leads to outstanding outcomes for all students.

The MFL Department offers (SPECIFY LANGUAGE/LANGUAGES) therefore successful applicants are required to be able to teach (SPECIFY LANGUAGE/LANGUAGES)to GCSE. We welcome applications from ECT teachers or experienced professionals. We are looking for individuals who love their subject, have a passion to develop this in others, and are committed to putting Students First.
