Head of Modern Foreign Languages job summary
We are looking to appoint an inspirational and experienced Head of MFL with a passion for accelerating progress within the MFL department. You will have the ability to teach across the full age and ability range and will be able to enthuse, engage and motivate our students to achieve their full potential. You will join a friendly and welcoming department, which is forward thinking, innovative and passionate about teaching. We are looking for a languages teacher who is passionate about languages and wants to share their love of languages and other cultures with students to raise standards and improve student outcomes.
You will be a team player within Felixstowe School and within the wider Trust. We are looking for an ambitious individual to grow MFL as a department in terms of GCSE and A-Level. You will want to ensure MFL is a beacon of excellence in the school and want to run trips for students to practice their language skills.
You will be keen to lead your team to enhance the extra-curricular offer, improve overall teaching and learning and ensure students and your team meet their potential.
CPD is important at Felixstowe School we are looking for a Head of Department who is keen to learn and ensure they see CPD as part of their wider role. If you are looking for a department where you can make real change, teach wonderful students and want to make the difference to lives this is the role for you.
