The Role

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Head of Modern Foreign Languages who will:

  • Lead and manage the MFL curriculum, ensuring excellent outcomes for all learners.
  • Inspire, motivate, and develop staff within the department.
  • Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Contribute to the wider leadership of the school and play a key role in raising aspirations and achievement.
  • Ensure our students have access to a broad and ambitious languages curriculum that supports their next steps in education, training, or employment.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising attainment.
  • Have strong subject knowledge, particularly in Spanish (up to GCSE).
  • Demonstrate the vision, drive, and commitment to lead a successful department.
  • Be a collaborative leader who can inspire colleagues and students alike.
