Curriculum Leader for Music


We are looking forward to appointing our new Head of Music, responsible for leading and inspiring a love of their subject with enthusiasm, within a school that is creative and nurturing of new colleagues. This position will especially suit a teacher looking to take on their first middle leadership role.

As Curriculum Leader for Music, you will provide visible leadership that ensures strong and consistent teaching, learning and student progress within the subject area. You will be responsible for further developing our music curriculum and the continued growth of a rich extra-curricular offer of Music for our school, within a supportive school environment and students that are enthusiastic to learn.

You will work with senior and middle leaders in ensuring progress and strong outcomes for all students

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Has a secure track record of strong classroom practice and raising achievement.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead, inspire and develop others.
  • Is passionate about inclusive Music education, enrichment and opportunity for all students
  • Has high expectations of each student and of what they are capable of achieving
