Head of PE job summary
Salary: MPS - UPS - £32,916 - £51,048 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked) + TLR2D allowance available for the right candidate
Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year.

About the Role
As Head of PE, you will:
Lead a high-performing PE department with passion, expertise, and strategic direction. Shape a curriculum that excites, challenges, and supports students of all abilities. Champion a culture where physical activity, resilience, teamwork and healthy lifestyles are integral to school life. Oversee extracurricular sport, fixtures, teams, and whole-school health initiatives. Coach and develop staff, ensuring high-quality teaching and outstanding outcomes. Build strong community and club partnerships to enhance opportunities for all pupils.About You

Is an outstanding PE practitioner with a proven record of impact. Has experience leading or coordinating a team. Brings energy, vision, and creativity to the role. Is committed to inclusive sport and physical education. Values high expectations, strong relationships, and positive behaviour.
