This is a fantastic opportunity to join our exceptional, outward looking, oversubscribed high achieving school which welcomes pupils of all abilities.

WE ARE SEEKING A PASSIONATE CANDIDATE WHO:
- Is a well-qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic Head of Department. They will require great organisational skills and demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for PE and sport.
- Is someone who has an excellent track record in their own work and in leading and inspiring others.
- Is pupil centred and motivates pupils to strive for excellence.
- Is a leader with a strong ethos and vision, who demonstrates emotional intelligence, is solution focused and has the desire to continue the development of our strong team of staff.
- Is committed to their own professional development.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
- To be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the leadership and management of the department, with particular emphasis on the progress of all students and their achieving excellent results; the design and delivery of the curriculum, including the extra-curricular offer, the quality of teaching and learning in every lesson in the department, dealing with matters of student behaviour and rewards; the leadership of the department team, celebrating excellence, dealing with less good performance, and ensuring high quality professional development for all.
- To take a leading role in the upholding and promoting of the Christian ethos of the school.
