Head of Physics job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for Physics; you will possess the ability to share this passion with our diverse and inclusive student body. The successful candidate will be a team player who encourages collaboration within the department and the wider school. You will have a focus on your own professional development and a determination to become the best teacher and leader you can be. You will work alongside a supportive team, and a new Progress Leader, to continue to achieve the highest possible outcomes for students irrespective of their backgrounds or starting points. With a record of securing good outcomes for many years, this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to lead our Physics department and be pivotal in shaping the department on its journey to outstanding.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection, in October 2021, we maintained our status as a ‘good’ school. We offer a friendly, supportive working environment, which values talented, committed staff and offers excellent professional development opportunities. We are highly committed to managing teacher workload and offer a fortnightly home-based PPA session to all teaching staff.
