Head of PSHCE and Religious Studies job summary

Purpose of Role is to lead, develop and embed a high quality PSHCE curriculum including:

  • Citizenship
  • Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
  • Ethics

that supports students' personal development, wellbeing and preparation for modern life in Britain. Also to lead and design the delivery of the RS curriculum to achieve high levels of engagement.

For an exceptional candidate the role of Careers Lead would also be considered in addition to the PSHCE Lead role. In this case, the successful candidate would need to lead, develop and embed a high-quality careers education programme that prepares all pupils for further education, employment and training, and meets statutory requirements and national benchmarks.
