Head of Psychology job summary
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher to lead the Psychology Department in our outstanding (OFSTED May 2024) 11-18 girls’ school which has an excellent academic and pastoral reputation.
The successful candidate will take on the leadership of the most popular A-level subject in our school, with five classes currently in the Sixth Form. With our team of Psychology Teachers, you will teach A-level Psychology to students of all abilities at Key Stage 5, many of whom go on to read Psychology or related areas of study at university. Outside the classroom, students actively pursue leadership opportunities by becoming Psychology Prefects, engaging in enrichment clubs and societies and working with students across the school.
The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced in teaching A-Level Psychology.
- An effective leader with great inter-personal skills.
- A team player who will bring fresh ideas and help drive the school forwards.
- A practitioner committed to high achievement for all students.
