What skills and experience we're looking for

The governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader for our Religious Studies Department. The successful candidate must be an outstanding, well-qualified practitioner, with a determination to lead the next stages of development in Religious Studies at Maghull High School.

You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills and have a clear and sustainable vision for the development of Religious Studies. The successful applicant will be expected to teach Religious Studies across the ability and age range, including A Level Philosophy and Ethics, and have had previous and successful experience of raising standards to the highest level. The ability to teach A-Level Psychology would be an advantage as this course is part of the Religious Studies faculty. The person appointed will enthuse, inspire and motivate students and be passionate about attainment and progress.
