Head of Risk and Compliance job summary
We are seeking an experienced Head of Risk and Compliance to join our central team at Enrich Learning Trust, providing strategic leadership across our nine academies serving approximately 7,000 students across Norfolk.
This is a pivotal role reporting to the Director of IT and Operations, with responsibility for developing and maintaining the frameworks that keep our Trust compliant, safe, and resilient. You will lead on risk management, health and safety, business continuity, and regulatory compliance, ensuring we meet the requirements of the Academy Trust Handbook, DfE standards, and all relevant legislation.
Working collaboratively with academy leaders, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Trustees, you will embed a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation. Your work will directly support our Accounting Officer in meeting regulatory obligations and will include managing relationships with external partners, including our outsourced Data Protection Officer and Norfolk County Council Health and Safety services.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in compliance, risk management, or health and safety, ideally within an education or multi-site environment. You will be a confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels, from site staff to the Board of Trustees, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how the Trust approaches risk and compliance at a strategic level, with genuine autonomy to develop frameworks and drive improvements that protect our students, staff, and organisation.
