What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Demonstrate recent, successful, and sustained impact as a senior leader along with experience of working with children and young people with SEND.

  • Have specific experience, knowledge and interest in working with students with SEND, ASC and SLCN.

  • Effectively cultivate an environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and a shared commitment to the school’s ethos and vision.

  • A positive attitude which will inspire, enthuse and motivate students, staff and the wider school community.

  • Ability to establish high expectations for students and staff while utilising data-driven approaches to support pedagogical decisions.

  • Experience in strategic planning and actively participating in school improvement initiatives.

  • Confident, approachable and have the skills to work collaboratively, build effective teams and to be a present and visible leader who leads by example.

  • Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs.

  • Be hardworking, organised and proactive in their professional development.

  • Share the Trust’s vision of ‘Creating Meaningful Futures’ for its students and ensuring they are safe and happy.
