Key responsibilities: 


  • The head of school, under the direction of the Executive Headteacher, will be responsible for providing the leadership and management of the academy in line with the vision of the trust and manage the day-to-day running of the school.
  • Work with staff to promote high quality teaching across all subjects and ensure that every teacher in the academy is developing their practice to becoming outstanding teachers.
  • Identify any areas of underperformance in teaching and implement, monitor and review interventions to improve these areas as well as teaching and learning across the school.
  • Make sure the school’s assessment system is fit for purpose and provides teachers with useful information about pupils.
  • Identify areas where staff may benefit from sharing good practice or accessing support from other schools in the trust.

 

Pay range: L25 – L29 £89,830 - £99,067

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the academy’s values and ethos.

Our Academy

Shenley Academy has been on an incredible journey, having been judged as inadequate in October 2018 to an overall judgement of Good in July 2021, with:
