Head of School job summary
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic school leader to join our school as Head of School from September 2024. We are open-minded about your career history. You may have gained experience as a Deputy or an Assistant Head; you may already be a Head of School. You might be working in a system leadership role within an Academy Trust. Quality of experience, and what you have learnt from it, is what's important.
What do we look for in a leader?
We want our school leaders to be effective communicators who are proactive and hands on. They raise academic standards and inspire both staff and pupils to foster a love of learning. They juggle multiple demands on their time with a sense of perspective. They are visible within school and, perhaps most importantly, they approach their roles with a smile and a sense of fun. Being a school leader is a serious business, but we should not take ourselves too seriously.
Why should you apply?
We offer the opportunity to work with some lovely young people and expert colleagues in a trust that values good wellbeing, promotes equality and inclusion and celebrates diversity. There are professional development opportunities via our SEEAT Institute and there are opportunities for additional trust-wide responsibilities.
Next Steps...
We'd love to show you around our school so you can get a feel of what we're about and meet some of our fantastic staff and children. If you'd like to have a conversation with Glenn, Executive Headteacher, or arrange a school visit, please don't hesitate to contact Laura Hamlyn, Office Manager on 01702 558619.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
