We are seeking an exceptional individual to fulfil the role of Head of School for one of our Compass schools located in Belton, Great Yarmouth (KS1 – KS3) This is a unique challenge for a committed individual who wishes to make a real difference to the education of some of our most vulnerable Norfolk young people.
Candidates for this post will ideally have a strong record in leadership and management and a thorough understanding of specialist education. Experience of supporting young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs as well as working with multi-disciplinary or therapeutic teams would be beneficial.
Our provision is not a traditional teaching setting and we would welcome candidates with experience of alternative provision, specialist provision, mainstream primary and secondary with leadership experience.
Working under the direction of the Director of Specialist Provision the Head of School will be responsible for the operation of the site. Suitable candidates will be able to work as part of a leadership team as well as under their own initiative. They should have high levels of resilience, excellent ICT and administrative skills and an exemplary attendance record
Above all though, candidates must have a total commitment to the importance of academic progress and high aspirations for all young people.
