Head of Science job summary

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Head of Science to inspire students and staff alike, driving excellence across all science disciplines while continuing to develop your own leadership skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist who wants to take Science beyond the classroom—promoting curiosity, scientific thinking, and real-world application. You will have the chance to shape an engaging and rigorous curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics that equips students with strong analytical skills, practical competence, and a lifelong enthusiasm for science.

This role is ideal for an experienced teacher ready to step into leadership or an established leader seeking a new challenge in an ambitious school. The position offers the opportunity to work in a brand-new school building with state-of-the-art facilities commencing soon. You will be supported by a strong, collaborative team both within the school and across the Trust.
