Head of Sixth Form job summary

The Deanery CE Academy opened it's doors to students in 2019, and together with Kingfisher Academy which opened in September 2021, forms the Wichelstowe Trinity Learning Campus, part of the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust, which since being established in 2012 has steadily grown to currently comprise of 15 Primary Academies and one Secondary.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, inspiring, outstanding, and passionate leader and teacher, with a proven track record of successful student outcomes, to join our team to lead the development of a brand new Sixth Form at The Deanery CE Academy.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of creating a learning environment that inspires and encourages students to achieve the best they can, and the ability to shape the Sixth Form at The Deanery CE Academy to meet the needs of our existing students and to be the sixth form of choice for all students in the local area. Experience of teaching and leading English or Maths may be an advantage, although specialism in other areas will also be considered.

The vision of the Dioceses of Bristol Academies Trust is to have exceptional academies with a strong Christian ethos which provide values-led education and opportunities for all children to flourish and achieve their fullest potential. We aim for all our academies to be schools of choice, with good or better Ofsted and SIAMS grades, and will work with local communities, staff, children, parents, churches & the wider Diocesan family to achieve this.
