What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a committed and highly-qualified Head of Academic Sport Science (KS4) to join our department from September 2023, or earlier (dependant on the successful candidates’ availability).

The PE department at Bohunt Liphook is strong, supportive and well-established, comprising of eight full-time, and one part-time members of staff. The department offers a broad and balanced core curriculum alongside the teaching of GCSE PE (AQA), BTEC Sport (Pearson) and the Sport Leaders qualification at KS4, as well as A-Level PE (AQA) at KS5. The department benefits from two sports halls, a smaller multi-purpose hall, a newly refurbished (2022) fitness suite, four outdoor courts, a full sized sand based astro and extensive playing fields. We also have plans to build a new 4G astro within the next two years.

Bohunt Liphook PE Department has a strong sporting reputation at both County and National level. We enter over 50 sports teams into competitive leagues across our range of major sports, and regularly play up to 20 fixtures per week. Our most recent success is our U14 Boy’s Hockey team reaching the National Schools final in March 2023. The successful candidate will be required to make a full contribution to our thriving co-curricular programme. The ability to have a positive impact with the coaching of one or more of rugby, netball, basketball, football, hockey, cricket or athletics would be an advantage.
