Head of Year 5 job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with resilience commitment & energy to join our dynamic Primary Team as Head of Year 5!

The Head of Year role is a key middle leader role within the core of the school, integral to upholding Pix Brook’s values and ensuring pupils acquire these and develop as socially responsible citizens. The role exists to support pupils at a variety of levels including behaviour, attendance, pastoral and progress, providing the pupils with the confidence to be ambitious in order to succeed. The Head of Year must play a lead role in establishing a culture that promotes excellence, equality and aspiration for all the pupils and staff in their year group.

The Head of Year is a leading professional in the school and accountable to SLT. They will assist in providing vision, leadership and direction for the year group and help to ensure it is managed to meet Pix Brook’s values.
