The Role
We are seeking an exceptional individual who is passionate about ensuring students have the best possible school experience and receive the support they need to thrive. At STFS, we believe every student deserves success, and we are committed to building strong relationships with students and their families so we can support them effectively throughout their time with us.
In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated year group, providing consistent guidance and support. You’ll be backed by the Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour, Culture, and Safeguarding, as well as a pastoral assistant. We are committed to your professional growth, offering high-quality training opportunities to help you develop and excel in the role.
The ideal candidate will foster a positive ethos, uphold high expectations, and provide targeted support to students who need it most. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will engage regularly with students, families, and colleagues. You will model outstanding classroom practice and play a key role in guiding and supporting your year group tutors.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in Science or Maths.

STFS is a welcoming and caring school that is oversubscribed and academically successful. Our GCSE results place us firmly as one of the top performing non-selective schools across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Being a small school, we have a unique opportunity to get to know each of our young people and their families, to develop a genuinely personalised approach to their learning and to offer the very best in academic rigour and pastoral care.
The students at STFS benefit from highly qualified and committed staff who understand the various challenges that young people face. The smaller class sizes and relationships that are deep rooted in mutual respect mean that students at STFS are more than a statistic. They feel valued and are keen to learn. We are committed to providing an environment where learners can learn and teachers can teach.
