Head of Year job summary
Ormiston Endeavour Academy is a Secondary school located on the outskirts of Ipswich. Due to significant student growth over the last two academic years recruitment is ongoing and this role is not subject specific we would welcome applications from a range of subject specialists wishing to develop their pastoral skills and seeking to progress into a Head of Year role.
The Head of Year will lead a team of Form Tutors by supporting and developing their roles in student development, they will also manage and work closely with the Assistant Head of Year for the year group.
The successful candidate will also be expected to liaise with the Headteacher, SLT and other Heads of Year and appropriate teaching staff, outside agencies and relevant staff with cross-academy responsibilities
Our curriculum is organised to allow a course of study that is broad, rich and flexible in supporting students. In addition, we offer our students a broad enrichment programme which all staff are encouraged to participate in. We are seeking to appoint an individual who is proactive, flexible and able to communicate clearly and effectively across all platforms, maintaining high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour contributing to whole school improvement, inspiring our students and making a positive contribution to our ethos and values.
