Head of Year (Teaching) job summary
Alde Valley Academy is seeking to appoint an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated secondary teacher to join our team as a Head of Year (Teaching).
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented classroom practitioner who is passionate about pastoral leadership and committed to ensuring students achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will lead and support a designated year group, providing strong pastoral care, promoting high expectations and fostering a positive culture of achievement, attendance and behaviour. Working closely with students, families, teaching staff and external agencies, the Head of Year will play a vital role in ensuring every student feels supported, challenged and valued.
Alongside the Head of Year responsibilities, the successful candidate must have the ability to teach either English or Music across Key Stage 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will:
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to inspire pupils to achieve their full potential
- Be accomplished in your current role
- Deliver the highest quality educational experience for our children
- Be wholly dedicated to safeguarding pupils.
- Work alongside a supportive team of professionals within the school and as part of Kingfisher Schools Trust.
