The Governing Board is seeking a headteacher with the passion, commitment, and expertise to lead transformational change and bring long-lasting impact.

What We’re Looking For

The new Headteacher will:

Provide decisive and visionary leadership, building on recent improvement work and accelerating progress.

Lead with moral purpose, resilience, and strategic clarity through a challenging period of school improvement.

Rapidly address areas identified in the Ofsted report with decisive action planning, staff development, and rigorous monitoring.

Embed a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and raises attainment.

Lead, inspire, and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

Motivate, support, and hold staff accountable while building a culture of high expectations and professional excellence.

Be a visible and approachable leader for staff, pupils, parents, and the wider community.

Work closely with all stakeholders including parents, governors, the local authority, faith community partners and the wider Seventh-day Adventist education network.

Uphold and nurture the school’s Christian values and the principles of Adventist education as central to school life.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

Have recent and proven experience in primary school leadership, ideally in a school requiring or having recently emerged from significant improvement.

Be confident in leading whole-school improvement with a clear understanding of the Ofsted framework and school self-evaluation.

Possess exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, support, and challenge effectively.

Be a strategic thinker who can manage budgets, staff performance, and complex change effectively.

Be committed to inclusive education and driving high standards for all pupils, regardless of background.

Be prepared to support the ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
