What the school offers its staff
Our school is flourishing and is held in high regard by all stakeholders and the community it serves. Our children love to learn; they are articulate, enthusiastic and show excellent learning behaviours. Staff love working at St Mary's and morale is high. Our school grounds are extensive and beautiful, and help contribute to our Christian ethos 'to live life in all its fullness'. We believe our child-centered approach creates a St Mary's family that provides the love and support each and every child needs to fulfil their potential.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to become our new Headteacher from September 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter (we understand this may be 1st January 2025). The position has become available due to the retirement of our highly successful current headteacher at the end of this academic year. This position has had to be re-advertised due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Governing Body work collaboratively with the Head and SLT to drive success in all areas of school life. Along with other stakeholders including children, parents, church and the wider community, we all work together to achieve the school’s missions.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expect all staff to be committed to this. Any offer of employment to this post will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service
