What skills and experience we're looking for

You will continue to lead a legacy of success, putting the outcomes of our children and the local community served at the heart of everything we do.

Building on our recent Ofsted success where four out of five areas were rated outstanding, you will chart Wainwright’s way forward with your leadership continuous improvement mindset.

Our principal’s leadership will result in an academy where:

  • a positive ethos that reflects the academy’s commitment to children’s achievement, effective teaching and learning and good relationships

  • staff, families and children have confidence in the leadership and management of the children’s achievement

  • great importance is placed on high quality pastoral care and support

  • all stakeholders contribute fully to the development and successful implementation of policies and practices

  • the academy improvement plan is focussed on improving educational outcomes

  • the Trust’s centrally provided services allow the principal to concentrate on improving the life chances of children

The successful candidate

The successful applicant must have a proven track record of school improvement and have gained proven previous experience at senior leadership level. We are looking for a strong communicator who can demonstrate strengths in engaging with and inspiring all stakeholders.
